The Interregional House, Geraardsbergen, Belgium
On 2 February 2007, the Superior General of the Josephites established an Interregional House in Geraardsbergen not far from the Chapel on the Old Mountain. At present two Belgian and two Congolese Josephites are living in the Interregional House. Apart from being responsible for the looking after the Chapel on the Old Mountain, the confreres maintain an active apostolate at the service of the local church.
The Interregional House also serves as a House of Studies for Josephites undertaking University studies at Leuven or Louvain-la-Neuve.
Geraardsbergen was the birthplace of the Congregation in 1817 and the Interregional House will assure the continuing and active presence of Josephites in the town for the years to come.
